There are about a dozen Web sites where, with some assurance, you’ll for now and the next day or so be able to see Google’s big experiment with video advertising.

There’ll be a lot more later this week, when Google fully rolls out its new option for businesses using Google to place advertisements on Web sites.

But for those who can’t wait, steer a browser toward celebrity news provider The Superficial, fanfiction site FanFiction.net, translator WordReference.com or blog software maker Blogthings. (The rest of a beta tester list that Google provided is below.)

Warning to the curious: The ads won’t appear right off. One must refresh the page any number of times (in some cases dozens of times) to see them. Also, the beta testers may no longer carry the ads once Google opens up the feature to the general public.

The first advertisement spotted by this author was for a show on cable television station The Learning Channel. It used up all its allotted two minutes, and seemed to resemble an in-house promo they use on the cable channel.

Another was for Cars.com, the Internet auto sales site, which Google didn’t mention in the list it provided.
