Earlier today I was bemoaning how Web stats are unreliable, but here I am, blithely reporting Nielsen’s November search share numbers.

Guess what? Not much new here. Google dropped from 49.6 to 49.5 percent of all searches. Yahoo, meanwhile, gained, going from 23.9 percent in October to 24.1 percent in November.

MSN/Live dropped from 8.8 to 8.2 percent. In October, Nielsen had MSN/Live at -8 percent growth year over year, while in November it’s fallen to -11 percent growth year over year. MSN’s search volume was 538,594 in October, and is now 515,526.

AOL managed to stay steady at 6.2 percent. Ask dropped slightly, from 2.8 to 2.6 percent. Full numbers in the release.
