Several top names in mobile phones, microchips and media this week said they will work together to license an anti-piracy technology for sending movies and music to cell phones. Juha-Pekka Sipponen, the director of media player applications at Nokia, said the technology developed by the Open Mobile Alliance will be widely adopted, in contrast with custom anti-piracy plans linked to a specific service or managed by a single company.
