LG Electronics announced it would be unveiling its latest Ultra PC, model 13Z940, as well as second generation Tab-Book 2 hybrid devices, the 11T740 and 11T540, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January.

The 13Z940 has a Full HD 13.3-inch in-plane switching (IPS) display that incorporates the company’s Super Narrow Bezel design for an slim 4.4mm thin bezel. The PC measures only 13.6mm at its thickest point, also features Reader Mode, allowing the user to alter the background of any on-screen image to resemble paper, which LG claims can reduce eye-strain and energy consumption.

The LG Ultra PC 13Z940 weighs less than 1kg and offers improved processing, better graphics performance and extended battery life thanks to a Haswell Intel Core i5 processor. The device also provides near-instantaneous booting with its solid-state drive (SSD), available in 128GB or 256GB capacities.

The flagship model 11T740 Tab-Book 2 is only 16.7mm thin, and incorporates an 11.6-inch Full HD IPS display for a maximum brightness of 400nit lumens for improved outdoor viewing.

The model 11T740 boasts a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor to deliver more robust performance and a smoother user experience. Model 11T740’s little sister, the 11T540 Tab-Book 2, is even lighter, weighing in at only 930g with a thickness of just 13.7mm.

Finally, the company’s latest 27-inch all-in-one (AIO) PC boasts a Full HD IPS display and runs the Windows 8.1 operating system. Able to be used as a TV, monitor or personal computer, the AIO PC can switch from computer to TV mode using the included remote without having to reboot the PC.

For computing and graphics processing power, the model contains an Intel Core central processing unit (CPU) and Nvidia GeForce GT 740M graphics card. In addition, its picture-in-picture (PIP) feature makes it possible to watch TV and browse the Web simultaneously.

A company release also noted the PC is equipped with an HDMI jack to connect to a Blu-ray player, sound bar or other HD home entertainment components.

“Lightweight, beautiful and fast, the latest PC products from LG offer unmatched versatility,” Hyoung-sei Park, head of the IT business division at LG Electronics’ home entertainment company, said in a statement. “Our 2014 lineup is specifically designed to let customers take advantage of cutting-edge technology in a myriad of innovative ways. Essentially, the new generation of PC products from LG enables users to find the perfect computer for their needs, whether it’s for home, work, school or entertainment.”
