Unified communications solutions provider Unified360 has announced the availability of a suite of managed services aimed at small to midsize businesses that includes e-mail security and a hosted exchange service.

The offering also includes Web security, message continuity, remote monitoring and global NOC services, applications that Paul Tran, CTO and founder of Unified360, said the company’s customers have been asking for.

“As we roll these services out, we are going to refine our offerings to bundle these with our value-added services already being delivered,” he said. “In the current market and with new technologies making it feasible to manage networks remotely, companies are electing to outsource this aspect of their business.”

The company focuses on helping midmarket companies realize a return on their technology investments and assist in driving down communication cost while delivering revenue enhancement. Unified360’s communications solutions, deployed through partnerships with Cbeyond, Bandwidth.com, XO Communications and Paetec, include local, long distance, Internet and mobile services for businesses. The company lists managed firewalls with secure backup and file sharing, e-mail, Web hosting, virus and spam filtering, and mobile services including BlackBerrys, PDAs, and other voice and data devices as part of its service offerings.

“This is a new and strategic direction for the company that enhances our core competency and will give us another advantage in the marketplace,” said company CEO Jim Barker. “We will be able to bring a greater cost savings to the customer, allowing them to use these savings to continue their growth in a tight economy. We have already seen strong growth in this area of our business and expect it to play a major role going forward.”

Barker added that these new services are coming on the heels of record growth in the company’s solutions segment and communications services through their unique offerings. “Unified360 is strongly positioned to capitalize on the current market conditions, and plans on continued growth and new offerings to be announced in the near future,” he said.

Earlier in the month, the company expanded its business with the opening of the company’s second branch operation in San Antonio, the beginning of a continued expansion in other regional markets, according to a release made at the time. Barker made note of the company’s ability to grow in a tough economic climate. “Our model of helping businesses better control and in most cases reduce their technology and communication expenses has proven rewarding,” he said. “Since we were well ahead of our 2009 projections for North Texas, we decided to move forward with our growth into San Antonio as we already have clients in this market.”
