San Francisco-based Actuate Corp.s new Actuate e.Reporting Suite 5 features, among other things, support for Java, LDAP and XML.

The product includes “100 percent pure” Java content creation and management facilities and the ability to call Java objects, including Enterprise JavaBeans, directly.

It enables tighter integration with existing Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and other centralized directories to minimize administration expenses even as the number of users increases, and its e.Analysis option offers improved yet simpler analytics.

Pricing for Actuate e.Reporting Suite 5 ranges from $5,000 to $50,000 per CPU, depending on the level of function needed.
