Teamwork Westell Technologies Inc. and Proxim Inc. are teaming up to help small businesses and consumers set up and use digital subscriber line networks.

Broadband Westell, of Aurora, Ill., will incorporate Proxims HomeRF wireless home networking product into its new Access 4000 broadband multinetworking platform. Proxim is based in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Compatibility The combination will mean greater security and interference immunity over a wireless network, as well as compatibility with a range of HomeRF products based on the current version and the 10M-bps wideband version coming out later this year. Access 4000 with HomeRF is available now, with its pricing starting at $595.
