Kyoceras QCP 6035 Smartphone combines a Palm OS handheld computer with a cellular phone in a form factor not much larger than most phone-only devices. However, the QCP 6035 achieves these goals at the cost of a smaller display and fewer expansion options than other Palm and Pocket PC OS-based devices on the market.

SHORT-TERM BUSINESS IMPACT // The QCP 6035 is portable enough to supplant a standard cellular phone for mobile workers.

LONG-TERM BUSINESS IMPACT // As users demand that the QCP 6035 perform more tasks once done on their desktop PCs, the phone-centric QCP 6035 will have to be replaced with a device with more potential for peripheral expansion.

Tight integration between phone and PDA; small form factor.

Small screen size; serial cradle slows synchronization.
