Software Features

Android 3.2 means the tablet will accept more apps written for Android smartphones. Tab 7.7 also runs the Samsung TouchWiz user interface, which has a Live Panel menu and a "Mini Apps" tray of features, such as task manager, calendar and music. The widgets on TouchWiz are crisp and malleable.

Multimedia Features

Samsung is portraying the Tab 7.7 as a multimedia monster, with full HD playback in 1,080p. The tablet also has Universal Remote Control so users can control all of their home entertainment devices, including TV, set-top box, DVD, Blu-ray player and AV audio system, from the slate.
