Microsofts Mobile Information 2001 Server provides a promising framework for developing mobile applications such as the Outlook Mobile Access application that ships with the product. Although Mobile Information Server does a good job of extending the availability of Exchange data to WAP devices, the limitations of WAP may leave companies looking elsewhere for a mobile messaging solution.
