RFID vendor Intermec Technologies Corp. is suing rival Matrics Inc. for patent infringement. One of the Intermec patents cited in the litigation covers a method of identifying the source of a particular data stream from among several tags. Another covers a means of synchronizing a chip by the frequency of its base station modulation. A third covers a method of communicating with RF transponders and a fourth covers a means of producing the radio frequency circuit and memory in a thin flexible package.
