NetScaler Inc. this week will announce the availability of its NetScaler 3000 Series Web site acceleration solution, which combines content acceleration with traffic management.

The Santa Clara, Calif., company said the new product line will increase Web site availability and reliability while reducing costs due to its ability to dynamically scale the processing power of servers.

Also included in the product is Web site surge protection, request-driven load balancing and cache redirection.

The 3000 Series, which also helps protect servers from distributed denial-of-service attacks, includes NetScaler 3100 1U/100 Mbit Ethernet and NetScaler 3200 2U/Gigabit Ethernet systems.

Pricing starts at $20,000. The companys Advanced Traffic Man- agement software is available for an additional $5,000.
