Alcatel One Touch Pop Series Comes in Four Editions
All four Pop series phones--the Pop C1, Pop C3, Pop C5, and Pop C7--run Android 4.2 and come in a variety of colorful casings.Mobile phone manufacturer Alcatel One Touch announced the expansion of its Pop series of smartphones with a suite of four new handsets–the Pop C1, Pop C3, Pop C5 and Pop C7. The flagship Pop C7 boats a 5-inch display with the Quad Core 1.3 GHz processor to enhance accelerate tasks and apps, and also features a 5 megapixel camera capable with social media sharing capabilities. The Pop C5 features a large 4.5-inch display and sports a Dual Core 1.3 GHz processor, while the 5 megapixel camera comes with panoramic picture function, and users can also video chat with friends using the front camera. As the medium-sized member of the Pop family, the C3 offers a 4-inch WVGA display with a curved design and 3.2 megapixel camera. The Dual Core 1.3 GHz processor allows a faster user experience and the power to multitask. In addition, users can also dress up their phone with a colorful protective flip. The family offers a variety of options in display size, colors, accessories and hardware specification and all run Google’s Android operating system. The pocket-friendly C1 offers a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a Dual Core 1 GHz central processing unit (CPU) for fast Internet browsing and a user-friendly interface and pre-embedded applications to help enable users to familiarize themselves with the device from the start.
All the phones come with One Touch live, which brings apps into one place ready for download so users can personalize their device. The Pop C1 and C3 will go on sale beginning October, while Pop C5 will be available for purchase in November, and the Pop C7 is expected to arrive on the market sometime in the fourth quarter. A company release did not include pricing details, but the lower-spec handsets appear destined for emerging markets.
