Altova Inc. has been busy of late, making deals to propagate its XML technology amongst developers and to make the lives of XML users and developers easier, the company said.
Beverly, Mass.-based Altova Friday announced a deal with Versim Technologies Ltd., of Birmingham, England, to deliver a plug-in for Altovas XML development tool, XML Spy. The plug-in, known as the Versim Differencing Toolkit for XML Spy, enables developers to identify differences between XML documents from within XMP Spy 5, the latest version of Altovas technology.
Versims solution enables developers to identify and process differences in XML documents. And with the toolkit, developers can find XML changes in text to the word level.
Earlier in the week, Altova announced that its XML content editor, Authentic 5, will be included in all future versions of Software AG Inc.s Tamino Server at no additional cost for Altovas technology. Reston, Va.-based Software AGs Tamino is an XML data store for storing, publishing and exchanging XML documents and data.
Authentic 5 enables users to funnel data into XML for storage in XML repositories for later use in XML data stores like Tamino, the company said.
