Mobile users Hewlett-Packard Co. is seeking to leverage its digital imaging expertise in printing and scanning into the portable digital projector market with the introduction of two lightweight products. The HP Digital Projector Xb31 and Sb21 will be the Palo Alto, Calif., companys first portable projector systems targeted at mobile users. The Xb31 offers the industrys leading brightness in the 3-pound class at 1,500 lumens, and the Sb21 is the lightest projector in the 1,000-lumens class, weighing only 2.2 pounds, according to HP officials. Both projectors are available now.

Wireless controls Features of the Xb31 and Sb21 include automatic image synchronization; full multimedia capabilities; 1,024-by-768-pixel XGA or 800-by-600-pixel Super VGA resolution, depending on model; and easy-to-use wireless remote control featuring complete projector functionality, according to officials.

Pricing Pricing starts at $3,699 for the Xb31 and $2,499 for the Sb21.
