Hewlett-Packard Co. on Monday rolled out a new desktop PC aimed at small and mid-sized businesses and the public sector.
The HP Business Desktop d325, available immediately, has a starting price of $499. For $669, users can get a PC that is powered by a 1.8GHz Athlon XP 2200+ chip from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and that features a 40GB hard drive, 256 double-data rate memory and six USB 2.0 ports.
It also comes with Microsoft Corp.s Windows XP Professional operating system.
Users can ramp up the PCs performance with a faster 2.17GHz Athlon XP 3000+ chip, 160GB hard drives and up to 2GB of DDR memory.
The desktop also features integrated GeForce4 MX graphics from Nvidia Corp. and built-in dual-monitor capabilities.
