Iomega Corp.s new NAS 100d network-attached storage servers add a feature that may leave the competition scrambling—wireless capabilities.

Built-in 802.11g support allows it to connect wirelessly to an existing wireless network, so you can place it anywhere within your APs range. When plugged into an existing wired network, the NAS 100d server can also act as a wireless access point. Security is limited to WEP, however.

The NAS 100d servers—offered initially at 160GB ($499) and later this month at 250GB ($599) as well—feature two USB 2.0 ports for adding additional storage. UPnP discovery and a Web management utility facilitate setup and installation.

Iomegas drag-and-drop backup software is included and can support multiple networked PCs.
