Microsoft is coming close to a release date for Dynamics CRM 2015. According to the company, the newest version of its on-premise and cloud-based customer relationship management software will ship sometime in December.

Dynamics CRM 2015 will feature integration with Cortana, Microsoft’s voice-enabled digital assistant for Windows Phone 8.1. The upcoming release also leans on the massive cloud infrastructure of Microsoft Azure to enable more collaborative experiences across enterprises’ business software ecosystem.

At Google Platform Connect, an offshoot of the company’s popular Google I/O conference, company officials introduced a long list of new connectivity tools and services for enterprises with substantially lower pricing scales.

The networking products Google introduced included three new connectivity options: Direct Peering, Carrier Interconnect and VPN Connectivity.

For Web and application developers, the company introduced Google Container Engine and Firebase Mobile Solution. It also updated some features for its existing Compute Engine and App Engine.

Google has started “invitation-only” user evaluations of its new Inbox email client for Gmail. Inbox sorts messages, flags important keywords as well as other elements and links up to additional helpful information such as phone numbers.

Similar messages are grouped in “bundles,” which are a bit like mail folders in Outlook, but with the added ability to schedule when they appear on-screen. Users also have the option to remove the bundles and the emails they include with a single operation to enable speedy cleanup.

Verizon and AT&T are working together to enable Voice over LTE wireless calls through data networks. These will be under plans from the phone service carriers that will deliver expanded services to their customers in 2015.

By using VoLTE, customers will eventually gain HD voice quality and other features that will improve call quality, according to a Nov. 3 announcement by Verizon.
