Sleek Amplifier

2

The Sleek booster is meant for use in a car. This amplifier attaches to the dashboard, while the antenna is supposed to be attached to the top of the car.

Sleek Antenna

3

The 4-inch Sleek antenna has a magnet in the base for a solid connection to metal.??íSince I tested the unit indoors instead of in a car, I mounted it upright atop a desktop switch on my window sill.

Direct Connection

4

The cell phone under test must be mounted in the amplifier cradle, providing a direct connection needed to get a signal boost.

Sleek Boosted iPhone

5

The left-most screen capture shows the signal strength before boosting. The lower right image shows signal strength afterward. No matter how Apple calculates bars, this is better—the Sleek boost meant 10 of 10 calls connected.

Cradle Antenna

6

The cradle antenna can be installed indoors or outdoors, but should be positioned in an area with good signal strength from the cell tower. Here, I’ve stuck it to the window in our lab closet, using the included suction cups.

Desktop Amplifier

7

The DT Desktop amplifier acts as the middle man, boosting signal received via coaxial cable from the cradle antenna before passing it to the desktop antenna, which broadcasts signal to cell phones in the area.

Desktop Antenna

8

The Desktop antenna connects to DT Desktop’s amplifier unit, and must be positioned to face away from the cradle antenna to avoid oscillation.

DT Desktop Boost

9

Standing within about 10 feet of the desktop antenna, I saw a 29 dB signal boost immediately after plugging in the DT Desktop amplifier. Suddenly, the iPhone can make a call.
