Google has formed a political action committee, Google NetPAC, to support candidates who promote an open and free Internet. Google also hired former Republican senator Dan Coats of Indiana and Connie Mack of Florida (voting record) as outside lobbyists. The move comes after a year of political wrangling over net neutrality bills and Google’s involvement in China.
