These must be long days for Google’s legal department.

On March 10, Google and Brazilian authorities plan to discuss what Google does to police Orkut, Google’s chat room. The same day, it’s also possible French book publishers will decide to sue Google for alleged copyright infringement.

Google is also now close to settling a class action, click fraud lawsuit some of its advertisers filed in Texarkana, Ark. A $90 million settlement proposal awaits a judge’s approval.

Google’s also in court March 14 over the Department of Justice’s request from 2005 to turn over examples of customer search habits.

And don’t forget the lawsuits filed by American book publishers and authors last year claiming Google’s book project violates copyrights.

Things aren’t slowing down.

In May, there’s an important courtroom showdown in a click fraud lawsuit led by Advanced Internet Technologies Inc. The suit’s financial stakes soar if Google loses this round. (AIT wants class status).

Also, American Airlines is expected to take Google to court soon. It’ll supposedly be in order to identify those allegedly uploading some of the commercial airliner’s training videos to Google Video.
