Attorney Richard Wageman has been in China a lot longer than Google. He works for Lehman, Lee & Xu, a Chinese law firm.

His is a rather refreshing view of Google goings on in China, where it’s agreed to censor search results in order to operate a Web site from within the country. Google argues it’s a noble trade-off, one that could change China’s world forever via the Internet.

What exactly is Google going to do to rock China’s world? And how does Google know the Chinese are going to love them right back for it? Wageman thinks it’s a ” little presumptive to think American technology companies can change China.”
