Google Video and Google Blog Search have experienced triple digit percentage growth in traffic in the past year, while Froogle, Local, Directory, Alerts and Local have lost traffic, according to analysis from traffic research firm Compete.

Google Scholar and Google Desktop also experienced triple digit percentage growth, despite reports of the latter’s vulnerability to cross-site scripting attacks.

Despite this admirable performance, all non-Web search properties contributed only 1% to Google’s overall growth. ” After rolling out over 15 targeted search services, Web Search continues to account for more than 95% of Google’s growth,” wrote Compete’s Jeremy Crain.
