At its worldwide partner conference earlier this fall, Microsoft execs vowed to find a way to get security fixes into the hands of users who didnt have the bandwidth to download an endless parade of patches onto their PCs. It looks like Microsoft has found the solution: The Windows Security Update CD. Neowin reports that Microsoft is commencing a beta test of the CD, which sounds like its recently released XP Security Rollup offering — a collection of 22 previously released critical security patches that is available to Windows Update customers.
