StoneFly Networks Inc. on Monday introduced its StoneFly Backup Advantage, an integrated IP SAN-based disk-to-disk (D2D) backup solution aimed at departments and small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The storage solution combines StoneFlys Storage Concentrator i3000 with CommVault Systems backup software. The system offers integrated IP SAN functionality with logical volume management and improved storage utilization, the San Diego, Calif.-based company said.

The system comes with a Web-based graphical user interface and supports automated backup procedures based on pre-defined policies and parameters and can routinely manage automated movement of data from disk to tape.
