Date Set for PeopleSofts Trial Against Oracle

PeopleSoft Inc.s lawsuit against Oracle Corp. over unfair business practices in its hostile takeover bid has been scheduled for a Nov. 1 trial date. The next pretrial hearing takes place on May 20. Meanwhile, Oracle is gearing up to defend its takeover bid in federal court in San Francisco in a separate case wherein the U.S. Justice Department sued Oracle to block the takeover on antitrust grounds.
