Last year, Microsoft officials said to expect the second beta of its Yukon version of SQL Server in the late spring or summer of 2004. But it looks like Redmonds already well on its way to laying the groundwork for Beta 2, at least based on the new screen shots on Neowin. Beta 2 will consist of all the Yukon components: database services, analysis services, notification services, data-transformation services, workstation components and development tools. Baked into Yukon is the .Net Framework 2.0 and ASP.Net 2.0 code, the same foundation technologies that are part of Whidbey.
