That Sun Open Net Environment, or Sun ONE, identity server supports the Liberty Alliance specification for unique ID handling probably doesnt do much good if one doesnt know how to use the Liberty Alliance. Fortunately, there is a simple way for developers to learn how to build applications that use the Liberty Alliance specification. The IPL (Interoperability Prototype for Liberty) is an open-source, Java-based package of code designed to help developers figure out the Liberty Alliance specification. Using the sample code libraries in the IPL, developers can build applications and test Liberty Alliance-enabled applications and server systems.
The IPL package can be downloaded from www.sun.com/software/sunone/liberty/ipl/index.html.
