One of the main technologies web sites use to improve performance and limit the load on servers is caching, especially caching appliances, which store site content and deliver it to visitors directly, rather than pulling it from the server. However, these appliances were traditionally limited to static content.

With dynamic Web content, static caching doesnt work, and sites have turned to solutions geared toward specific languages and application servers. However, these solutions are less than ideal for companies that use multiple languages and application servers.

These companies might want to look at Warp Solutions Warp 2063E application acceleration appliance, which has the broadest support for Web development languages and application servers that Ive seen in a dynamic caching appliance.

Once I had the Warp appliance up and running, I could use several methods to improve performance on my sites. I could use server plug-ins to have the appliance work directly with my site servers, or I could place the Warp 2063E at the edge of the network, which made it possible to easily handle content from a variety of servers.

It was also possible to define fine-grain controls on how the appliance dealt with site content through a variety of configurable rules and parameters.

Pricing for the Warp 2063E appliance starts at $30,000, with additional nodes available for $10,000 each.
