FileMaker Inc.s FileMaker Pro 6 Unlimited database nabbed a Codie Award for Best Numeric/Database Software at the Software & Information Industry Association annual conference on Tuesday in San Francisco.

The SIIA picked FileMaker over IBM DB2 Universal Database 8.1 and three other finalists. FileMaker was also a finalist for the SIIAs Best Business Productivity Product or Service award.

The Codie Awards honor excellence in software and information products and services.

FileMaker, in Santa Clara, Calif., is the database software subsidiary of Apple Computer Inc.
