Linux developers represent the most popular Linux job type sought in want ads, with 53 percent of job ads targeting them, according to Linux.com.

The second most popular Linux job type is system administrators, with 47 percent of employers targeting them, according to Linux.coms numbers.

The United States is the most popular place for Linux jobs, with 70 percent of the Linux jobs available from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30 being in the country, according to Linux.com.

The second most popular country for Linux jobs is half a world away, in Australia, with 14 percent of the Linux jobs available, Linux.com says.

Germany is a close third, and 13 percent of the Linux jobs are there, according to Linux.com.

The No. 4 slot belongs to the United Kingdom, where 2 percent of Linux jobs are available.
