Enterprise resource planning software maker NetLedger Inc. announced Wednesday a new suite of software applications that combines traditional functionality with e-commerce initiatives, delivered as hosted software.

NetLedger, which develops software for Oracle Corp.s Small Business Suite, is well-versed in the back-office needs of small and midsized companies. Its newest offering, NetERP, takes the back office one step further by integrating traditional functionality like accounting and order inventory with online business-to-business transaction capabilities.

Specifically, NetERP integrates financial management functionalities with order integration, inventory and procurement business process automation on the back end and automatic Web site generation on the front end.

The result is users are able to extend back-office data—inventory availability and customer-specific pricing—and processes to generate B2B Web sites as well as employee and partner portals.

Part of NetLedgers NetSuite software that combines ERP and customer relationship management functionalities, NetERP is built on a single data store that is hosted at NetLedgers San Mateo, Calif., headquarters.

New capabilities include serialized inventory, multiple units of measure, matrix option items and quantity-based pricing.

In addition, since NetERP links back-office data with front-office capabilities, companies can configure a B2B Web site that has customer-specific price levels and terms-based purchasing with catalog item availability based on actual inventory status.

Event notification and a daily business dashboard are also part of the package.

This version of NetERP is targeted toward the wholesale and distribution markets. Later iterations will focus on the services industry, with retail following that, according to Zach Nelson, NetLegers CEO.
