OpenHack 4, part of eWEEKs ongoing evaluation of enterprise security under real-world conditions, was launched today at 8 a.m. PDT.

We invite hackers to attempt to crack the OpenHack site, home to applications written and hardened by Microsoft and Oracle. As of 9:56 a.m. PDT, the site was humming with 1,216 concurrent connections and 51 incoming packets per second.

Come back to www.eweek.com for daily updates on the nature and number of attacks to the site, and the performance of the applications and the site infrastructure in warding off those attacks.
