Seebeyond technology corp. and CommerceFlow Inc. are each taking a stab at providing quick-integration tools for suppliers looking to link to multiple business-to-business channels.
SeeBeyond this week will introduce Version 4.5 of its eBusiness Suite, which adds support for Java2 Enterprise Edition to its integration software. This support enables customers to invoke Enterprise Java- Beans and use Java graphically throughout the suite, said officials in Redwood City, Calif.
eInsight BPM, an enhanced module in eBusiness Suite, provides a view into an organizations internal and external business processing in real time and coordinates trading.
Two other modules provide aWeb interface for partner interactions and hook smaller suppliers into e-marketplaces.
Separately, CommerceFlow will launch CommerceFlow Enterprise late this month. The combined software and services offering enables suppliers to connect to and accelerate sales across multiple B2B channels.
The San Francisco-based companys software sits on top of a supply chain management application, for example, and allows a supplier to integrate with the CommerceFlow Enterprise hub and then connect to various e-marketplaces. Once a supplier establishes a connection, Enterprise trolls each site for sales opportunities—through such things as published requests for quotes and keyword searches—and routes those back to the supplier.
Mike Cummings, owner of Cummings & Associates Computer Liquidation Center, expects a beta test of Enterprise to yield the same positive return he saw using CommerceFlows Merchant software, which automates Cummings sales on eBay Inc.s auction site.
“For you to be able to look at what youre doing once youre there is a real positive,” said Cummings, in Denver.
