Ford Ejects Oracle Purchasing Software

Ford is sending Oracles Everest software to the junkyard. After investing four years and hundreds of millions of dollars on the project, Ford says it wants to return to its proven legacy software already in place.

The car giant is reportedly abandoning its $200 Million Web-based purchasing project because it cant get the software to work properly.

The project was meant to manage the companys business with its suppliers, covering payments and purchases. “We are going back to the proven legacy systems that are still in place,” said a Ford spokeswoman. “We made a business decision.”
