Enterprise resource planning software developer J.D. Edwards & Co. announced Thursday that it launched a program to help users implement a set of live analytics in as little as 45 days.

The Denver-based company is launching its J.D. Edwards Business Intelligence QuickStart program in a joint effort with CadenceQuest Inc., JDEs business intelligence implementation partner in the United States.

The BI QuickStart program is based on software from business intelligence software maker MicroStrategy Inc. and focuses on monitoring and managing key areas of a companys business performance through a Web-based dashboard that touts metrics and interactive reports.

With MicroStrategys software, JDE users will get out-of-the-box access to summary trend information and the transactions that contribute to that trend, officials said.

Business intelligence analytical applications are available for financial management, sales management, procurement, inventory, manufacturing management and advanced cost accounting.

Robert Allen, CEO and president of CadenceQuest, in Arlington, Virginia, said JDEs BI tools go beyond simple reporting by providing customers with the ability to navigate through their data and pinpoint performance improvement opportunities.
