As promised, Microsoft issued on this Patch Tuesday the first of what will be a series of regularly issued early warnings for potentially dangerous but as-yet-unpatched security issues with its products. The company also released a fix for a proof-of-concept exploit in Windows 2000 and Windows 98 issued by Israels GreyMagic Software that carries a maximum severity rating of “important.”
