Enterprise contract management software maker Nextance announced Monday the next iteration of its application suite.

Nextance 3.0 provides applications to manage contracts and commitments, along with their related business processes. It is available in business-specific software suites, including procurement, sales, intellectual property and legal.

This latest release of the Nextance platform includes new features for collaboration and drafting of online contracts along with global capabilities.

An Enterprise Create application allows users across an enterprise to collaborate, draft, edit and approve contracts online, as well as dynamically generate contracts based on templates and a clause library.

Version 3.0 also brings to the table multicurrency and multilanguage capabilities. The suites are built on Nextances NeXML platform that uses XML throughout its software stack, giving Nextance the ability to manage both content and data around contracts and related business processes, officials said.

Neehar Giri, the Redwood City, Calif., companys co-founder and vice president of products, said in a press release that customers are increasingly asking for help in automating business processes that are contract-centric, but go beyond contract management. The NeXML platform allows the company to meet those requirements, according to Giri.
