Using enterprise-class survey software can be a great way to collect data from customers or suppliers. But when you just want to know what day your staff is available for lunch without unnecessary e-mail exchanges, theres WebSurveyors RSVME.
Released last week, RSVME is a free application that integrates with e-mail clients including Microsofts Outlook, Mozillas Thunderbird and Qualcomms Eudora, enabling users to send questionnaires to people straight from their address book.
After installing RSVME with Outlook 2003 (RSVME requires Windows 98 or later), I easily launched the application from a tool bar that had been installed in Outlook. RSVME includes templates that allowed me to customize the look and feel of my survey. Users are limited to five questions per survey.
When I sent the survey using my Outlook address book, each recipient received an e-mail with a URL to my survey. From the RSVME dashboard, I was able to see statistics on the responses and even send summary results to my respondents.
