LogicLibrary, a provider of software development asset management tools, announced Tuesday its membership in OASIS.

In addition, Brent Carlson, Pittsburgh-based LogicLibrarys co-founder and vice president of technology, will serve on the OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) SOA (service-oriented architecture) Adoption Blueprints Technical Committee.

OASIS officials said the recently announced SOA Adoption Blueprints Committee will produce a series of vendor- and specification-neutral business requirements designed to guide organizations with their SOA projects.

In addition to LogicLibrary, other members of the committee include Adobe Systems, Booz Allen Hamilton, Capgemini, Infravio, MW2 Consulting, and Software AG, as well as many user organizations.

“Creating industry standards that provide real-world value is a collaborative effort involving experts and leaders from a broad cross-section of specialties,” said James Bryce Clark, OASIS director of standards development, in a statement.

“LogicLibrarys expertise in the area of managing software development assets will be an important addition to the OASIS SOA Adoption Blueprints Committees efforts to define an archetypal set of business requirements and functions that can be fulfilled by SOA methods.”
