Marrying integration software with logistics automation technology, Tibco Software Inc. and Arzoon Inc. will announce an alliance next week that facilitates real-time access to logistics information.

The partnership will bring together Tibcos ActiveEnterprise integration software with Arzoons LIFE family of Logistics Resource Management products.

The alliance is aimed at making communications and data sharing easier for manufacturers, distributors and retailers. As such, Tibco, of Palo Alto, Calif., will provide adapters to Arzoons software, so that companies can more easily share logistics data within the organization and outside with trading partners, according to Farid Dibachi, chairman and CEO of Arzoon, in San Carlos, Calif.

Tibcos ActiveEnterprise platform connects back-end and front-end systems within a company, and links out across the firewall to customers, suppliers and partners over the Web.

Arzoons LIFE suite is Web-native software that helps customers manage their logistics and import/export processes.

The suite includes Transportation LIFE and Global Trade LIFE that offer functionality in transportation procurement, optimization, execution, tracking, freight payment, reporting, global trade compliance and inventory visibility.

Tibcos technology has been adopted in a number of industries including financial services, telecommunications, electronic commerce, manufacturing and energy. Companies in the high-tech, transportation services, manufacturing and consumer packaged goods use Arzoons software.

Combining integration capabilities with logistics technology is one more step in gaining visibility along the entire supply chain, from manufacturing floor to product delivery.
