Novopoint Inc., a Chicago-based supply chain management software maker, and NTE Inc., of Downers Grove, Ill., have rolled out a combined product for manufacturers of CPG and their suppliers.

Novopoint integrated NTEs carrier community and exchange capabilities into its technology. The result will be improved logistics cost management for customers, said Novopoint officials, who added the deal will augment the companys existing transportation and shipment visibility.

The Novopoint Network connects consumer packaged goods manufacturers such as food and beverage companies with their suppliers of raw materials, specialty ingredients, packaging equipment and transportation.

The combined product, which doesnt have a formal name, is available now; pricing varies.
