Behold, the T-Mobile G1 Smart Phone

Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin roll in on roller blades, underscoring the mobility theme Google and T-Mobile hoped to impress upon people regarding the G1 smart phone.

Note the smooth touchscreen, with options to dial, tap contacts, browse the Web and check Google Maps.

Google and T-Mobile hope the Google Maps experience on the G1 is similar to Maps on the desktop. If this screenshot is any indication, so far, so good.

Users can upload and access all of their Web content from the G1, including YouTube videos, and as this pic shows, photos from Flickr.

The Google Search application on G1, easily the No. 1 app Google’s Page and Brin want to work as well on the smart phone as on the desktop.

Shop Savvy is one of the first apps available on Google’s Android Market next month. The comparison shopping app lets G1 users scan the bar code of a product with their G1’s camera and compare prices from e-commerce and brick-and-mortar businesses.
