Finally activated, the wizard guides the user through the connecting applications for sychronization.

After intial sync, iTunes returns this report to show storage usage, status, and some device and service details.

The iPhone could get a little more granular with synchonization details from within iTunes—for contact and calendar, music, photos, video and podcasts.
