Adaptecs XHub7+ utility connects up to seven USB peripherals to a PC. The XHub7+ supports the new USB 2.0 devices and is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 devices. It comes with USB 2.0 drivers for PCs running Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP and also supports Mac OS 9.1 or later. Its convenient stand let me bind the USB cables neatly together, and multiple hubs can be stacked on the same stand. The XHub7+ is available now for $130, and a four-port version costs $90.

The optional USBControl software is handy for keeping track of USB devices connected to the XHub7+. It displays which devices are connected and how they are performing—very useful for trouble-shooting. More information can be found at www.adaptec.com.
