Impinj Inc. has been developing a tag that integrates RFID semiconductor components for inventory management.

The companys tags adhere to a new standard that supports longer range and can be read much faster by a scanner than older RFID tags, the company said.

The Seattle-based startup expects to begin customer testing by early 2004.
