Knownow is using its publish-and-subscribe technology to enable delivery of real-time information and chat sessions to users of mobile Pocket PC devices.

LivePDA, which the company will make available this week, provides an event routing platform and APIs that a developer can use to extend business applications to mobile users. The software delivers updated data from those applications to a workers PDA via the Internet and sends changed data back to the enterprise in the same way. It queues data if the PDA is not connected to a network. Because it provides two-way connectivity, mobile workers can engage in chat sessions.
