The BlackBerry Storm has some features new to the BlackBerry family and new to mobile smart phones in general, including a tactile touch-screen, a preloaded Facebook for BlackBerry application, and Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office PowerPoint editing.

Tactile Touch-Screen

As you enter characters or commands, your finger receives a subtle signal to let you know the device is responding to your input.

E-Mail and Messaging

View attachments-Open popular document and graphic attachments and view them with LCD-quality color and clarity. Includes JPEG, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint files.

Edit Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files-Download attachments, use copy and paste, and change font size and color, bullets, numbering, and more.

Text, Picture and Instant Messaging

Send and receive text, picture and instant messages (SMS, MMS and IM).
Chat supported by Windows Live Messenger for BlackBerry smart phones, Yahoo Messenger for BlackBerry smart phones, AOL Instant Messenger for BlackBerry smart phones and ICQ for BlackBerry smart phones.

Social Mobility

The BlackBerry Storm smart phone comes preloaded with custom-built social networking applications like Facebook for BlackBerry smart phones as well as mobile IM and photo upload programs.
