The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is made of hard-shelled plastic in a titanium-colored finish with chrome highlights. RIM claims the 8900’s screen is the highest resolution available on a BlackBerry smartphone. The device also comes with a 512MHz next-generation processor, although T-Mobile plans to at least initially wed the device to its 2G EDGE network.

The newest Curve provides BlackBerry maker Research In Motion’s messaging support, including push e-mail and popular instant messaging applications, enhanced Web browsing, and access to social networking communities such as Facebook, Flickr and MySpace.

In addition to phone and messaging services, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 features built-in GPS and Wi-Fi supporting voice and data. The Curve also includes a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto-focus, digital zoom, flash, image stabilization and video recording in addition to a Web browser and a music player with support for streaming media.

The Curve comes with a a hot-swappable MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot with a 256MB card already inserted. With support for memory cards up to 16GB, the Curve lets customers carry, capture and enjoy more of their music, pictures and video anywhere they go.
