T-Mobile Sensation 4G

T-Mobile Sensation 4G

Priced at $199.99 after a $50 rebate with a two-year contract, the Sensation 4G employs a 4.3-inch (qHD) quarter-high-definition, touch-screen display (960 by 540 resolution) powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and HTC’s Sense user interface. Sensation 4G is also T-Mobile’s first smartphone to run Gingerbread, which offers a better virtual keyboard, copy-and-paste features as well as native NFC (near-field communications) support.

Social Networks

2

T-Mobile’s 4G speeds, which offer up to 14.4M bps download speed and up to 5.76M bps upload speed, will support media applications, including the HTC Watch movie and TV library and the HTC Listen music library. The handset also makes social-network sharing and YouTube consumption a breeze.

Photo-Sharing

The HTC Sensation 4G is great for photos, boasting an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, digital zoom and auto-focus, paired with a front-facing camera and 1080p HD video recorder.

Two Colors

6

Available in violet and black, the phone will cost less than $100 with a two-year deal after a $50 mail-in rebate promised by T-Mobile. A Gingerbread phone for under $100? Who would have thought it to be possible?

Samsung Gravity Smart

7

The Gravity Smart runs Android 2.2 “Froyo.” T-Mobile is billing it as no-frills messaging device with Group Text and a “spacious, horizontal, four-row, slide-out QWERTY keyboard.”

Touch-Screen Display

8

There is also a 3.2-inch touch-screen display with Swype gesture input. “Pin it” notes let users pin important messages to the home screen for easy reference.

9

Gravity Smart, which connects users to Facebook, Photobucket YouTube and other top social-networking sites, has a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom and a camcorder for capturing photos and videos. The handset will be available later this month for under $100 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year deal.
